BioSpectrometer® kinetic

BioSpectrometer® kinetic

The Eppendorf BioSpectrometers are spectrophotometers that combine easy handling with highly reproducible analysis. A variety of cuvettes expands the options even further from microvolume to macrovolume measurements.

Product Information

The Eppendorf BioSpectrometer kinetic is an expansion of the Eppendorf BioSpectrometer basic and features a temperature-controlled cuvette shaft. In addition to the wide range of methods available on the Eppendorf BioSpectrometer basic, the Eppendorf BioSpectrometer kinetic software offers preprogrammed and freely programmable kinetic methods. The integrated Peltier element guarantees high-precision temperature control for determining enzyme and substrate kinetics. Retrospective modification of the time window for regression analysis can be made directly on the device. Therefore, no separate evaluation software is necessary.

Features

  • All Eppendorf BioSpectrometer basic options
  • Temperature-controlled cuvette shaft (adjustment range +20 °C to +42 °C in 0.1 °C increments)
  • Preprogrammed and freely programmable kinetic methods
  • Retrospective modification of the time window for regression analysis

Applications

  • All Eppendorf BioSpectrometer basic applications
  • Additional kinetic applications, and enzyme activity testings at different temperatures e.g.:
  • Activation of glucose via hexokinase (340 nm, 37 °C)
  • Substrate concentration of ATP (340 nm, 37 °C)
  • Enzymatic assay of β-galactosidase (420 nm, 30 °C)
